 Championship Chili

Just in time for Superbowl! 
Sunday, January 26
11 am & 3 pm



On Sunday, January 26th, at either 11 am or 3 pm, learn to make championship chili - just in time for Superbowl! BBQ Pitmaster Ric returns to Community Tap and Table to teach the secrets of the country's best chili. He will teach participants the tricks of successful chili - how to select meats, use equipment, layer flavor and cook perfect chili. Class will conclude with a bowl of championship chili, perfectly paired Craft Beers provided by Darin and all the fixin's.

Ric has over 100 cooking awards and was inducted into the CA BBQ Hall of Fame in 2009. Ric has appeared on The Cooking Channel, The Food Network and Mythbusters...launched one of the largest BBQ events on the West Coast and now...returns to Community Tap and Table after a very successful BBQ class in September.   


Darin and Emily have taught more than 2,000 "beer bellies" the art of cooking quality food and pairing with craft brews. Space is limited to 18 per class. This class will sell out. Class will be held at Community Tap and Table in South Land Park in Sacramento. Register here.

 Chèvre Cooking Class

At the Chevre Cooking Class, join winemaker Sue Tipton of Acquiesce Winery in her tasting room as we learn to turn goat's milk into fresh cheese. Turn your cheese into three of your new favorite "go-to" appetizers with Chevre. Includes a Chevre panini, soup and wine.

 Winemaker's Class



At the Winemaker's Cherve Making and Herb Garden Class, join winemaker Sue Tipton of Acquiesce Winery in her beautiful tasting room as we infuse vinegars with wine friendly herbs, learn to make soft goat cheese, learn three "go-to" sauce/dressing recipes for herb filled, wine friendly dishes, and enjoy salad and wine. Leave with two beautiful Acquiesce Bottles filled with infused vinegars, recipes for new dishes, and tons of kitchen tips!

Class is held on Thursday, April 24 at 6:00 pm at Acquiesce Winery's Tasting Room at 22353 N Tretheway Rd, Acampo, CA 95220.

Bacon makes everything better! Learn how to cure pork belly into artisan bacon or make food gifts from home cured pork belly. Then pair bacon-centric foods with craft beers. Tap and Table has sourced local, antibiotic free, humanly raised pork belly and fresh, unique American hand crafted, craft beers.

Pizza Making Class


 
Learn to make artisan pizzas topped with fresh-pulled, buttery mozzarella, creamy, homemade ricotta, bright tomato sauce and light, chewy dough. Pair your pizza with craft beers that vary by topping. Learn tips and tricks to growing fresh herbs for toppings.

 Beer Belly Brew Camp
Kingbird Hop Farms, Galt

We're partnering with Kingbird Farms to host a Homebrew on a Hop Farm Brew Lesson. Saturday will include a visit to the hop farm in Galt, a day of brewing and great eats from the farm's bounty, cooked in the wood fired outdoor oven.

$79 includes all brewing supplies, food from the farm and drinks while brewing. Beer Belly Brewers can pick up their homebrews 3-4 weeks later at a bottling party with paired eats at Em and Darin's home.

Alumni may attend the event at a 50% discount if they provide bottles and pizza toppings.

About our brewers:

Rick R is a homebrewer with a brewing club in Stockton California named the Brew Angels. Rick has been homebrewing since 1998 and has placed in many homebrew competitions across the State. In 2009 Rick won best of show for the annual California State Homebrew Competition at Stern Grove, San Francisco.

Rick P has been a homebrewer for eight years in addition to selling/marketing commercial craft brews. He considers beer the greatest beverage in the world, and the craft/hobby of homebrewing one of the most fun activities to enjoy on a weekend afternoon at home (or on a hop farm).

Canning Party - 
Learn to can, jam, pickle and preserve 

We'll work with seasonal, organic produce hand selected by our farmers. Selections vary by season and include at least four items; miso carrots, lemon or orange curd, fresh pesto, dill or sweet pickles, preserved figs or peaches, tomato sauce, seasonal jelly or crispy pickled snap peas or peppers.

Class is 100% hands on. Leave with a jar of everything we make and munch on artisan pizzas while you work.
